Minimally invasive facial microneedling with radiofrequency

Safe. Non-invasive. Effective.

Radiofrequency microneedling treatments such as Fractora or Morpheus8 are safe to use on a wide variety of skin types. There is little risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which can sometimes accompany other resurfacing methods.

Radiofrequency microneedling is a cosmetic procedure. It uses tiny needles and radiofrequency waves to rejuvenate facial skin. The treatment uses a fine needle to create controlled microwounds or channels, in the skin. The damage stimulates the production of capillaries, elastin, and collagen for healthy new skin.

Compared with treatments like chemical peels and dermabrasion, radiofrequency microneedling is minimally invasive which means there is little to no downtime.

Who is a candidate for microneedling with radiofrequency?

Safe to use on a wide variety of skin types

Many adults are excellent candidates for microneedling with radio frequency. This minimally invasive technique may be ideal for you if you wish to reduce the appearance of:

  • Acne or acne scars
  • Poor skin texture
  • Sun damage
  • Deep lines and creases
  • Mild sagging or jowls
  • Enlarged pores
  • Stretch marks

Combining microneedling with radio frequency and other RF treatments like FaceTite or Fractora may be ideal for patients interested in achieving tighter, smoother skin but prefer to do so without the risks of surgery. Every treatment is completely customized to your specific concerns. Our board-certified surgeons will develop your individualized plan during your consultation.

FAQs about microneedling with radiofrequency

Are There Any Side Effects After Treatment?

Side effects of microneedling with radiofrequency may include transient redness and swelling. It is possible that some patients may experience temporary bruising. The microneedling aspect of treatment may leave tiny points on the skin that crust and flake off. This should be expected if Morpheus 8 is combined with Fractora.

Mild tenderness or soreness may result from the absorption of RF energy and can be managed with over-the-counter pain medication. Our team will discuss the side effects you might experience during your consultation and decision regarding the extent of your treatment plan.

Is microneedling with radiofrequency painful?

It is important to us that our patients have access to the treatments they want without the fear of intolerable discomfort. Microneedling with radio frequency is conducted after a topical anesthetic has been applied to the skin. Within approximately thirty minutes, the cream desensitizes epidermal nerve endings to reduce the sensations from radio frequency to a mild heat. This also significantly reduces or eliminates the sensation of the microneedles passing over the skin.

In addition to numbing superficial tissue with topical analgesic, we also offer patients the opportunity to increase their physical and emotional comfort using ProNox®. This self-delivery nitrous oxide system puts the power in your hands as you undergo the treatment of your choice. Ask about ProNox® during your consultation for skin tightening with Morpheus 8 or any of our other innovative devices.

How many treatments are needed to see results?

Optimal results may be achieved in as little as one treatment or through a series of treatments conducted over a period of several weeks. We can make an accurate estimate of treatment outcome by observing the condition of your skin, including texture, tone, and laxity, during your consultation.

When can I put make-up on after treatment?

Since patient downtime is minimal, makeup can be applied 1 to 2 days after the treatment. Patients should expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness for up to 1 week depending on treatment parameters.

FAQs about Fractora skin treatment

What areas can be treated?

Fractora can be used on areas that can benefit from skin renewal. The most commonly treated areas include lower eyelid, upper eyelid, smile lines, forehead, cheeks, mouth and neck. Face and body areas that exhibit wrinkles, discoloration or acne scarring are suitable for treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

Depending on your Fractora treatment regime you can expect to have between 1-6 sessions.

How quickly will I see results?

Visible results can be seen immediately, but typically after two weeks the most noticeable results appear. Improvements continue up to three months after treatment.

What is the benefit of fractionated energy?

Fractionated RF energy found in Fractora is a scientifically proven method that reduces wrinkles. It is minimally invasive, using a matrix of micro-pins to resurface and restore the skin, providing exceptional results with almost no patient downtime.

What is the benefit of RF energy?

RF energy heats the deep layers of the skin in a controlled way to revitalize the collagen. Fractora treatment will improve skin complexion and texture for a more radiant and youthful appearance.

Can this be used in combination with other treatments?

Yes, Fractora can be used in the same treatment session, or a few days after other treatments. Fractora can also be combined with additional energy treatments or injectables to achieve a more extensive full-face result, called a FracTotal Facial.

When can I put make-up on after treatment?

Since patient downtime is minimal, makeup can be applied 1 to 2 days after the treatment. Patients should expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness for up to 1 week depending on treatment parameters.

What kind of post procedure care is required?

Patients should moisturize the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure. It is also recommended that patients use a good, broad-spectrum sunscreen every day. In addition to reducing their future risk of skin cancer, sunscreens also reduce wrinkles and slow the aging process.

Minimally invasive facial fractional remodeling

Morpheus8 Logo

Morpheus8 penetrates deep into the skin and fat for a smoother and sleeker appearance. By targeting the deeper layers of the skin, the building blocks will reorganize themselves in a natural anti-aging process. There is little to no damage to the dermis and this procedure provides an extremely uniform effect.

Morpheus8 is designed to combine microneedling and radio frequency to achieve deep fractional remodeling. Morpheus8 doesn’t just address superficial tissue; it directs energy toward the adipose fat that is notorious for creating jowls, bra rolls, and more.

Morpheus8 can is often combined with Fractora treatments. This combination, sometimes referred to as EmbraceRF, targets the lower third of the face. During EmbraceRF, the Morpheus8 aspect of the process enhances the final outcome of treatment by sculpting adipose tissue to support youthful facial contours
